September.....almost October

So I wanted to post an update and then looked at what pictures I haven't posted yet. The only pictures I haven't posted are these lovely ones of my wonderfully messy eater.

She is a good eater. She loves to feed herself and always gets wonderfully messy. If I don't take off her clothes before she eats, I have to take them off afterwards because she gets disgusting!

Ella is about 10.5 months. She is almost walking. She walks along anything and everything and can stand by herself. She usually tries to take a step and usually falls down mid step, but she is getting so close. She just cut her first tooth last weekend. So in a matter of a couple of days she got a horrible cold, cut her first tooth, and I started trying to wean her. Needless to say she has been a bit cranky but is finally starting to feel better I think.

Lily is 3. She loves preschool and dance class. She gets SUPER excited to go to either and wants to go every day! I actually have a hard time dropping her off for preschool. I like the time, but I do miss her and worry about her. I am a worry-wort mother, but she just loves preschool so it is probably good for both of us!

Rob got released from being Scoutmaster on Sunday. The physical demands of that calling combined with his declining hip made for a really hard combination. I have my guesses for his next calling based on the openings in our ward right now. I shall see if I am right!

I loved LOVED loved President Uchtdorf's talk. I think most would agree. It is inspiring, makes you feel loved and makes you want to do better! Watch it and love it!

Facebook Status'

So, do you ever have a day where a million facebook status's float through your mind and you know you shouldn't post them all and annoy everyone who ever decided to accept your friend request? But, sometimes when that happens you feel incomplete unless you disperse those to the universe somehow?

Hence, this post.......

Mother lesson of the day.....when your three old says repeatedly Ella.....Big.....Poop, believe her and go investigate immediately.

Sweet....your three old loves preschool....I mean loves it!
Sour......she gets so excited in the morning to go that you end up driving around for 35 minutes until you can drop her off so she will stop yelling at you that it is time for "pretty-school" (her name for preschool) and dragging you to the door!

Who knew that trying to wean my daughter from nursing would be just as hard and stressful as it was to get her to nurse in the first place?

My favorite quote from my kidney stone episode last week......
Rob: (at 10am, after he had been Mr. Mom for 2.5 hours) I would like to switch back to our regular roles please.....like NOW!

Every night, right when I get comfortable, settled into my bed perfectly, have the blankets all situated and almost ready for sleep.....my baby wakes up. How is it possible that in another room she knows right when I hit that spot of comfortableness?

Okay.....purge over. Whew....I feel better!

Lily's Dance Class

Lily started a Tap/Jazz class for 3 year old's this week. She was so excited about her dance shoes and couldn't wait to go! I was a bit bummed because they put the 3 year old's in a room without a window to watch them. But, I understand it so they don't get as distracted seeing their mom.

Anyway, here she is all ready to go!

Lily's first day of preschool

Lily started preschool today! It was a sad/happy day at my house this morning. I have attachment issues with my children.....we have never lived near family so I don't leave them....um, hardly ever. I can probably remember every time I have left Lily with someone else for any amount of time. Anyway, so we had much debate in our house about whether to put her in a preschool this year or not. But, since she will be the youngest in her grade (she makes the cutoff by 3 days) we both thought 2 years of a little preschool environment would help her to be ready for kindergarten. And, we want to give her great opportunities to learn, grow, and develop her talents.

Anyway, here she is....all ready to go!

Mmmm, should we get out of the van or not?

Here she is in her classroom! There is another Lily in her class and another girl with the same backpack!
Her little cubby with her name tag and little fish.

This is what she was doing when I picked her up....I had to wait 5 minutes for her to finish building her tower! They said she did good....had a little trouble going to the bathroom and was one of the quieter ones in the class but she seemed happy and ready to try it again on Thursday!

The best perk for me is that I can go to Walmart and grocery shop without her! Much much easier with just little Ella and myself!

Tomorrow's new adventure.....Tap/Jazz class! I am sure she will LOVE it! She loves dancing!
