Best Friends

Since we moved here I have made some really great friends. Two in particular changed my life and were friends to me like no one has been since my two best friends from high school. One of them moved away last July and one of them moved away in December. I cried like a baby when both of them left and this week in particular my whole soul just misses them. I miss being able to go to their house on a whim when I had a bad day. I miss sitting and talking to them for hours while our kids played (who also LOVED each other)! I just miss them. I saw this quote and it just spoke to how I have felt this week.

"I miss you. Plain and simple. I miss your presence in my life. I miss you always being there for me. I miss my best friend. "

Phew.....all caught up

Valentine's Day Goodies
Lily's Valentine's for Preschool
Ella in her tunnel
Sister Love on a Sunday morning

Lily helping paint our room

Both girls in their respective tunnels running around giggling

So, I am now caught up since New Years on the cutest pictures of my goobers.

We are doing good. We are still working on some house projects but are getting so so close to being done. Our house is like a whole new house....new master closet, new flooring in the whole house, new paint in the whole house, etc. My husband is my hero for all the work he has done. He is starting to get really good at the projects he is doing. He has learned a ton and each project his skills just get better and better. I am ready for the projects to be done so we can actually spend a Saturday not doing a renovating project.

We are planning on replacing Rob's hip at the end of this year. For those who don't know Rob has had hip problems his whole life and has always needed them replaced. Within the last year he has taken a turn for the worse and is in pain a lot of the time from his hips. It is affecting his daily life and him being able to do what he wants to do. So, we are working towards having the surgery in December. The recovery could be as long as 6 weeks so we are trying our best to prepare for the worst and hope for the best. If there was a way financially we could do it tomorrow we would because of the pain that he is in. It is a constant prayer in our house to be guided, to be able to figure out the best solution to get this done so he can start to heal and do the things he wants to be able to do.

Other than that...same old same old. Rob is in the Elders Quorum Presidency in our ward at church. I am still the Young Women's advisor....going on 5 years of that being my calling because that has been my calling the whole time we have lived here and that was my calling the whole time we lived in Arizona too.

Lily loves preschool and is doing good in that. Her dance class had a little recital and she was the one who stood there frozen and picked her nose...ah, the joys of parenthood.

Ella is doing good. She is almost 16 months old and is really good at being 1....emptying cupboards, climbing on everything, etc. She actually isn't saying any words so her Pediatrician wanted her tested for that so we are waiting on those results. She might qualify for some in-home speech therapy to get her caught up.

Happy March!

Sister Picnics and Tea Parties

While we were doing some renovating this little table became our dining table for a few weeks. The girls loved eating together on their princess table.

Lily's "Half-Birthday" at Preschool

Lily has a summer birthday so she won't be in Preschool on her birthday. So, I decided to take cupcakes for her "half-birthday" so she could celebrate at school. Birthdays are like her favorite thing ever! Cake and singing...what's not to love?

Where have I been?

The girls got this huge blow-up jumper thing from Santa....it currently takes up half of my living room and the girls love it!

Santa's cupcake and then vegetables for his reindeer. Ella opening her Christmas Eve pajamas.
Both the girls in their Christmas Eve pajamas.
Ella.....I know I am biased but man is she cute!

So, it appears it has been a month and a half since my last post...mmmmmmm

We are doing really good. We had a very enjoyable Christmas with our own little family in our own little house. Our children were very spoiled by us, Santa, grandparents, aunts/uncles, etc. We acquired a lot of new Disney Princess stuff.....we should advertise for them we have so much Princess stuff in our house now!

Rob has been working overtime trying to finish our bedroom remodel which started last February when our bedroom flooded.....all we need now is a tiny bit of paint and then we have to find some new flooring. I am super excited.....we have done a ton of work on our house. I am hoping we can finish all of our projects soon so we can enjoy the new loveliness.

Lily starts Sunbeam class at church on Sunday which blows my mind. She is growing up that is for sure.

Both the girls slept through the entire night last night....that has only happened less than 5 times since Ella was born...13.5 months ago. It felt so good to sleep and I even got up an hour before them and exercised.

I am hoping to make a trip to Utah/Idaho in the spring sometime....and trying to coordinate all the things to make that happen...seeing my friend Emily, my sister's new baby, having my mom and my sister fly to albuquerque and drive up and back with me......I am hoping we can get it all worked out for a little escape to see my family which I very much need!

My little Ella's birthday!

Dear Ella,

I am so grateful to have you be my little goober. You bring me such happiness and make me laugh every single day. I love your little smile. I love it when you wrap both your little arms around my neck. I love it when you play with Lily and giggle. I love it when you run into Daddy's arms when he gets home from work. Thank you for letting me be your mom. It is a privilege.

Love,
YOUR MOMMY

Lily's Preschool Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

I went with her class to the Pumpkin Patch for their first field trip. I loved being able to see her interact with the other kids and spend some time with her at preschool. She is such a fun little girl!
