Our newest addition

Here is the newest addition to our little family. It is blue, pretty, and makes me extremely happy. We have only had one car our whole marriage. While in AZ Rob had a scooter to get to school but we sold it when we left Peoria. Since we have moved to Carlsbad he commutes to a town 40 miles north 3 days a week and with other complications I have usually only had the car two mornings a week as of late. Hence, the need for another car for me to drive and to save my sanity. I love it!
We got it in Roswell so it has an awesome UFO emblem on the front license plate holder thing. Pretty awesome.

Here is Lily today when Rob came home for lunch. She loves it when he comes home for lunch. She stays in his arms the whole time he is home. She does love her daddy.

So, the truth of the matter is the car isn't the only new addition to our family. We also are expecting a new peanut! I am 12 weeks along. We are very excited and feeling very blessed. We decided to cram every major life event we could into six months----moving multiple times, buying a house, Rob graduating, Rob starting a new job, buying a new car, and having a new baby. Good times.
I was thrilled to see peanut swooshing around and being very active. I also asked if there was only one...the doctor laughed and said most people don't ask that, but yes there is only one. Phew....we were going to have to go back to the dealership and trade that car for a minivan if there were 2!
Rob took this picture today and was laughing hysterically the whole time. He took a ton of pictures zoomed in just in just on the belly. He thinks he is hilarious. The second baby pops quicker that is for sure.

Now, if you need something else to put a smile on your face (it made me cry...but I am pregnant, so.....) here is a video of Stephanie Nelson that is currently on LDS.org. It will make you laugh, smile, cry, and seriously re-evaluate your priorities.

After watching it I am resolving to be grateful for all the moments of motherhood and joy I have...even in changing diapers, cleaning, etc. Life is good. Life is what we make it. And, life can be blessed in the midst of tragedy, heartache, and hard times.

That peanut looks a little bit more like a baby to me j/k. Congratulations!!! How exciting, I can't wait to hear if it is a boy or a girl. Are we going to have to wait 6 months to find out?
