Lily's Birthday Party

This picture is being blown up for her wedding reception in 20 years!

Her favorite present....she would spend 12 hours a day in this thing if I had the patience and stamina to stand there and push her that long.
Opening her awesome presents.
My first attempt at a cute cake.....don't judge too harshly.....I am not the craftiest person. It is supposed to be Mickey Mouse in case you couldn't tell.
Lily showing off her muscles.
Rob's awesome pinata......he has better crafty skills than I do sometimes.

A slip-n-slide, pizza, cake, ice cream, pinata, presents.....man, do I know how to throw a 2 year old an awesome party or what?

August is almost over.....who knew?

August is almost over....I can't believe it and am so excited for fall....not that fall will actually happen in New Mexico, but we are getting closer to having Ella here! Hip hip hooray!

We went to a fun swimming party with people from our ward and the other Carlsbad ward. It was very fun. Lily loved the slides and the cheetos.
Here is Lily thoroughly enjoying jumping on our bed. She gained some serious jumping skills from my sisters trampoline.
Here is my super cute husband's creative work for Lily's birthday...a Mickey pinata! Her birthday is tomorrow and we are having a small party for her on Saturday.
My baby turns 2 tomorrow! Craziness!

Utah Day 13, 14, 15, 16....the final saga

Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday
The final chapter of my Utah adventure. Sunday, Monday not much to report. Tuesday I took the kids to a stuffed animal museum at BYU. The kids thought it was fun and were good sports.
Isn't my niece Hailey gorgeous and so funny!

That night we went up the canyon for some roasted hot dogs and s'mores to celebrate Lily's birthday, Ella coming, and me leaving. It was super fun. Lily loved all of her presents, the cake, the creek, and the mud!
All in all, a very exciting and happy last day in Happy Valley! My nieces and nephews were awesome with Lily and we both miss them very much. I love hanging out with my awesome sisters.

So, Wednesday the trip home. First two flights pretty uneventful.....no big deal. Then I had a 2.5 hour layover in Albuquerque which turned into 4 hours when the flight was delayed. And, it was the rinky-dinky flight back to Carlsbad. So, the flight was full....shocker! And, the plane was too heavy so the 12 year old pilot asked if we could leave my carry-on bag behind.......um, are you serious? I would have to offload all belongings in such bag to make it home....milk, snacks, blanky, doggie, toys, etc. So, there would be no point. So, they left behind my suitcase and I had to go back to the airport the next morning to pick it up from the next flight. Don't worry 8 other passengers.....the big-old pregnant mother of a 2 year old will leave her stuff behind.....don't you fret!

We made it home safely and were very happy to see Rob, our house, and beds again! There is nothing like being home again!

Thanks to all for a wonderful Utah adventure.

Utah Day 11, 12

n
Friday/Saturday

Maternity massage....awesome! Loved it.

Lily is loving her life.....is upset when I take her away from her cousins (pseudo siblings) for any reason.

Lily is currently taking an almost 3 hour nap since running around with 4 cousins is EXHAUSTING and she only sleeps when she collapses!

Utah Day 10

Thursday

First off...I have to say how much I love Utah weather! It is warm, not hot and gorgeous! I LOVE IT! Perfect playing outside weather.

So, my pregnant body is giving out on me. My body is exhausted. I am just achy all over.

On Saturday I am getting my hair cut and a prenatal massage. I am very excited about both of those things. I am hoping the massage helps the achy all over feeling go away.

I have loved spending time with my sisters, my funny brother-in-laws, and my funny nieces and nephews.

Lily is definitely having the time of her life!

Utah Day 7, 8, 9

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday

Monday we went swimming at the Lindon pool....no pictures taken but it was super fun.

Lily was so EXHAUSTED from playing with her cousins so much, that she actually fell asleep in my arms while I was in the pool. I sat down in the kiddie pool with her and she crawled in my lap and slept for 45 minutes.....all the while splashing and screaming kids all around us. I also got a huge sunburn on my back while sitting there for that long. She is having so much fun....she only sleeps when she falls over in exhaustion.

Tuesday we went to Toys R Us.....here she is enjoying the toys!

Last night she wanted to watch "AMIKA AMIKA" which means Mickey Mouse. Her three cousins joined her, so here they are all watching Mickey Mouse on my laptop.

She loves spending time with her cousins and is going to think I am so boring when we go home!

Day 6

Sunday.....

My sweet niece Hailey made this cake for Lily....granted she cooked it in the microwave and it was completely inedible, but still sweet!
