Seriously....why do they grow up so fast?

So, I always thought people were making it up when people said the old cliche of "They grow up too fast!" I guess I had to have my own kid to learn that it really is true. They do grow up super fast! Lily is an expert crawler, pulls herself up to things and has started to walk along things while she is standing up. She will be running around before we know it. No teeth yet, but she sure is growing up. She crawls to the door when Rob leaves in the morning and gets so excited and crawls towards him when he comes home! She loves to go swimming and thinks that underneath the kitchen table is her own personal fort.

Rob is doing a rotation right now. He goes to work everyday from 7 to 4--for FREE---actually, we pay to have him do that! Awe, the joys of school!

I am at home, taking care of Lily, cleaning the house, doing the laundry, couponing and shopping the deals like crazy (seriously, crazy---I even dream about it at night thinking about the deals I need to go get and them taking my coupons. It is SAD!). I hopefully found us an apartment to move into in August when we move up there for Rob's last and final rotation. And then, we will be DONE with school in November! Yeah for real jobs, real paychecks, and real health insurance...and to be closer to family! Sad for leaving our friends down here and the nice weather (with the exception of May through September where it is like living on the actual sun!).

Here is Lily sporting her true colors---BYU-Idaho!

Here is us at the Mesa Easter Pageant. We went on Saturday night with my sis Jeanette and her family. It was rainy and cold (Arizona in April cold....not like Idaho snowy, blizzardy cold, but definitely cold for Arizonians!)...but nice because we were able to get good seats and not have to sit there all day!

Here is Lily and Rob on Easter morning, after we went to church. I was released from my calling on Sunday and got put in Cub Scouts! I went from 14 year old girls to 9 year old boys. It should be a fun change. I will miss Young Women's but am glad for a change! My mom bought Lily's Easter dress and I absolutely love it! I think it is super cute!My sister and her kids stayed at our house on Saturday night, so this is them on Easter morning! The Easter Bunny brought them two baskets....tricky! We set up two cots, a queen sized air mattress, and had the couch ready for them! It was a full house, but very fun.

Last night we went to a D-backs game with my sister and her kids. That is me and Lily and then my nephew Nathan and my niece Hailey. It was fun. We left early but baseball games are always fun---long and fun.

Home and well

We had an awesome trip to Utah. We got to see all of my siblings, saw some friends, took some naps, got some colds, and just had a great time. She did awesome on the airplane--slept almost the whole flight both ways. Miracles are still alive and well. I have been busy trying to get things under control again since we have been home and have been battling almost daily migraines, so that is all for now!

We are very happy to be home! I did both of our toes this week!

Idaho...Here I COME

Tomorrow morning I am going to Idaho via Salt Lake. I am WAY excited for a trip. I fly out tomorrow morning way early so Rob can be back in time for his rotation at 7am. Packing is a tough thing to do with a baby...what to try and bring, what to get there, etc. It is a lot of work to figure it out, but I am glad I will have this opportunity. I will get to see all of my siblings while I am up there so I am super excited about that! Thanks to my sister for driving me to IF tomorrow night!
My poor husband will be home without me, but will survive! And will probably get more rest! He is doing his rotation all day every weekday, will play basketball, sleep, and I am sure play the XBOX and watch as much sports as humanly possible! I bought some frozen pizzas and cereal for him to sustain his life while we are away....wait, we eat that when I am home!
Lily actually slept through the night three nights this week! Miracle of absolute miracles. Two weeks ago she was sleeping about two hours at a time, if THAT! All I can say is earlier bedtime and the book Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child! Miracles do exist!
I will probably try to post while I am gone so Rob can see Lily.

We went and did a hike last Saturday. It was very fun! Rob definitely got more of a workout carrying Lily. She fell dead asleep on the way down. It was funny how out of it she was.
Our new almost daily activity is going to the park and swinging on the swings. She LOVES it!
She is definitely mobile---crawling and getting to anywhere she wants to. She has given up on baby food and I didn't know what to feed the kid. Today I bought one of those little mesh things you can put real fruits or veggies in and they kind of suck on it and she LOVED it, so that will be the way I get the kid to eat real food for a while. Hopefully she can figure out how to pick up food and eat it soon so she isn't sustaining her life on formula forever!

That is it for me....peace out!

March is here already!

I can't believe it is March already! That just seems crazy to me!
My baby is officially six months old last Friday. In some ways it seems like we have always had her, and in other ways it seems like we just had her yesterday. She is a goober....but a cute one!

Rob is on break from school right now and starts his first full-time three month rotation on Monday. He is a bit nervous, but excited to be out of the classroom! He only has one more quarter of actual classes during the summer! I am so proud of him and all he has accomplished with school.

I am kicking it at home with Lily. I have done some projects lately. I made Lily some cute hairclips to keep her mop out of her face. I made letters for LILY to put in her room. I also made my husband home-made bread yesterday! I once asked him what his equivalent was to me getting flowers...and he said homemade bread! I think that is funny!

Rob and I have been on a health kick---exercising everyday and eating a lot better! I definitely want to be a healthy mom and teach my kids good habits! We have both lost some weight!

I am going to Idaho Falls next Friday for two weeks....so, if you are an Idaho Falls-ian---let me know and I can try and see ya!

Journal Thoughts for Today

Haven't written in your journal for a while? Try this...

For February 20, 2009

Outside my window...is the Arizona sunshine. It is a bit cold (for here) and a bit windy. The high today is in the 70's I think.

I am thinking about....moving to Utah and hoping that we can find a job when Rob is done.....about how to get Lily to sleep better (she is still waking up a million times in the night--she is not a good sleeper!)......how tired I am and wish I could sleep better when I do get the chance to sleep.

I am thankful for...my husband and his dedication to school.....my husband and my opportunity to stay home full-time with my kiddo....the gospel and how much peace it brings.

From the kitchen...Lily's booster seat/high chair is on the counter from my attempt to feed her this morning....no sweets since I am trying to lose weight!

I am wearing...my favorite jeans from Marshalls that I wear everyday and a black shirt. I am thinking I need to go put on socks though because my toes are numb.

I am going...to try and get a nap today and then go run some grocery errands and get all the good deals at all the different stores.

I am hoping...that I can be content with being here for another six months. I have my husband and baby but this week I am just feeling extra lonely and am looking forward to being closer to family and to make new friends......that Lily can start to sleep better!

I am hearing...the sweet sound of Lily sleeping and the hum of this computer.

Around the house...Pretty clean...but could use a few things picked up.

One of my favorite things...Bajio---I really have been craving that today......the internet!

A few plans for the rest of the week...Finish my lesson for Sunday on Homemaking....try to clean up our room since I am trying to reorganize our stuff....catch up on some sleep.
